Julian Opie is one of Britain’s most important contemporary artists. He produces his work as prints, sculptures, films, music objects and animations, as well as objects such as this Cornish Coast Tray.
Julian Opie (b.1958) studied at Goldsmiths College, London. His unique style of simplified images and the way they are applied in a wide range of media has enhanced his reputation as a groundbreaking artist.
His work is in public collections worldwide including the Tate Gallery, the British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London’s National Portrait Gallery, galleries in Spain, Vienna, Amsterdam Japan, New York and many more.
This tray depicts a landscape of the Cornish Coast. It was published in 2016 at the Tate Gallery. It is now sold out.
The size of the tray is 30.5 x 30.5cm. It is printed on Melamine. It can be hung on a wall using glue tabs that will not damage the back. It can be framed or just used as an art object.
