Nothing That Meets the Eye, The Uncollected Stories of Patricia Highsmith is a first edition hardback with 28 stories, most of which have never been published before.

Published in 2002 by W. W. Norton & Company Inc. in New York.

This book is in two sections, containing early stories from 1938 to 1949 and middle and later stories from 1952 to 1982.

Patricia Highsmith (1921-1995) is best known for the books that have been turned into films, such as The Talented Mr. Ripley and  Strangers on a Train. Graham Green once described her as ‘a poet of apprehension’. This book just adds to her collection of unique stories.

This book is in excellent condition. It has the American style rough cut pages. It has a dustwrapper with a very slight creasing to the lower edges. It is nicely typeset which will make reading Highsmith’s stories even more of a pleasure.
