Under Milk Wood, Dylan Thomas

Under Milk Wood is Dylan Thomas’ famous play for voices that was first broadcast by the BBC in January 1954. This is a nice copy with a very nice dust wrapper, published in London in 1961.

The preface tells the story of how Dylan Thomas (1914-1952) worked on the play for nearly ten years and only completed it a short while before his death. This book also includes notes on pronunciation, the cast of the first broadcast and the settings of the songs.

This hardback copy is in good condition. The dust wrapper is slightly scuffed, however, it is nicely illustrated by Brian Rees with characters from the play. The inside pages are clean and bright.
