Published in 1901, With the Flag to Pretoria tells the story of the Boar War of 1899-1900. This is volume two and tells the story in detail with remarkable photographs from the siege of Kimberley through the relief of Ladysmith, the march on Bloemfontein, the relief of Mafeking and on into Pretoria and the Transvaal.

This book is full of fascinating photographs of this war, accompanied by detailed accounts of the fighting and campaigns. The early part of the book includes photographs and accounts of the involvement of Cecil Rhodes.

With the Flag to Pretoria is a large hardback book. The cover is cuffed but the inside pages and photographs are clean and bright. There is a large folded map which has a slight tear.

These early books were amongst the first to include photographs of war. A rare and fascinating book for anyone interested in military history.
