As I Walked Out One Midsummer Morning is the story of the poet and author Laurie Lee (1914-1977) as a young nineteen year old as he left his home in Gloucestershire, England to walk through Europe.
Perhaps best known for his other autobiographical book Cider With Rosie, this book is also written in his wonderfully readable style.
A first edition nicely illustrated by the artist Leonard Rosoman (1913-2012).
