Edward Ardizzone, Tim All Alone

The English artist Edward Ardizzone CBE RA (1900-1979) is know mainly as an writer and illustrator of children’s books. He was also a painter print-maker and war artist. This book Tim All Alone was originally published in 1956. Written and illustrated by Ardizzone it won the Kate Greenaway Medal and was also voted as one of the top ten winning titles in the category all-time favourites.

His illustrations are wonderfully distinctive and his books are much admired.

This copy of Tim All Alone is a hardback published by Scholastic Press, London in 2000. It is in excellent condition and feels as if it has hardly been read. The line and watercolour illustrations are wonderful.
