OZ Magazine 29, July 1970

Oz Magazine 1970, the sexual revolution in full swing.

OZ Magazine 29, July 1970

They called this OZ Magazine the ‘Female Energy’ issue. It is classic early 1970s with lots of music reviews, ads and lots about the sexual revolution. The music includes Matthews Southern Comfort, the Edgar Broughton Band, Canned Heat and more. There is a review of Jimi Hendrix ‘Band of Gypsies’ album and a full page Hendrix ad, plus the occasional Robert Crumb cartoon.

In issue 29 there are articles about female sexuality, a thesis on men and women by a would-be hermaphrodite, articles on sexual politics, a conversation with Anais Nin, and more.

There is a colour newsprint centre section with small ads and more articles. There is also a Janis Joplin tribute poster. This poster is a double-sided pull-out.

This Oz Magazine is in excellent, almost new condition.
