Richard Hamilton, Modern Moral Matters is a book/catalogue published for an exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery in London in 2010.
The exhibition focussed on the political and protest work of artist Richard Hamilton. In this book it can be seen how Hamilton has reflected on the political events around him from the 1950s until 2010. Modern Moral Matters shows in detail Richard Hamilton’s works including the Swingeing London series of works based on the Beatles and also the arrest of Mick Jagger in 1967. Also included are the print Kent State based on the student protests in the USA in 1970, artworks based on the ‘troubles’ in Northern Ireland and Shock and Awe featuring Tony Blair and the Gulf War.

Buchloh and Michael Bracewell. The book includes four articles written by Richard Hamilton. The quality of printing is excellent and thus shows a wide range of Hamilton’s work at its best.
