Description

Target Germany, the United States Army Airforces’ Official Story of the VIII Bomber Command’s first year over Europe, published 1944.

This is a rare publication, published by His Majesty’s Stationery Office in Britain in 1944. This tells the United States Government’s official account of the first year’s operation from Britain of the United States Army Airforce VIII Bomber Command in World War Two.

This book tells the story of the bombing campaign in detail. It includes photographs, maps and diagrams and details of the Flying Fortress (B-17F) and Liberator (B24D) bombers.

This a softback book. Although over seventy years old this is in good condition. The cover and corners are scuffed but the inside pages are clean and easy to read.

A fascinating survivor from 1944.
