Brian Wildsmith’s picture books are know for their vivid colour and design. This copy of What the Moon Saw is just one of his amazing productions. During his long career he created an innovative range of children’s books that are both striking and beautiful.

Brian Wildsmith (1930-2016) was an English artist now considered as one of the great picture book illustrators and designers. He won the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1962 for illustration and book design.

This hardback book was first published in 1978. This copy of What the Moon Saw is a reprint from 1980. This book is in very good condition. Each spread is full of his wonderful colour illustrations. The inside pages are clean and bright.
