The first edition of J K Rowling‘s third Harry Potter book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was published by Bloomsbury Publishing, London in 1999. These first editions were reprinted during its first year as the J K Rowling’s stories emerged. It is rare to find a copy of these early printings in such good condition with the dust jacket intact.

This is a nice hardback in excellent condition. The dust jacket is clean and bright. The price of £10.99 on the dust-wrapper has been covered (see photo). It is not price clipped. The dust-wrapper is very slightly cockled at the top. The inside pages have yellowed very slightly but are clean and bright.

This book has a distinctive watercolour cover illustrated by Cliff Wright.

There is something special about reading these first copies of Harry Potter in their original format.
