The White Album, Revolution, Politics & Recording: The Beatles and the World in 1968.

This book is about that unique era when The Beatles were almost at the centre of world culture. This fascinating book tells the story of the year, 1968, and the cultural events that took place. It also tells the story of The Beatles in that year, the other bands, the changes in politics and the spirit of revolution that permeated the end of the 1960s.

The book is divided into two parts: Side A and Side B. It first covers 1967 ‘The Year the World Changed’. Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band had been released and taken the World by storm in 1967. The White Album was released in 1968. The White Album, Revolution, Politics & Recording tells the story behind each song in the album. It deals with the individual Beatles and everyone involved in the album, Yoko Ono, George Martin and more, and the design by the pop artist Richard Hamilton.

The second side of the book shows the events, the celebrities and politics of that time.

This is a comprehensive book, full of pictures and accounts. A hardback in very good condition. Published in London in 2018.
